Create a sandbox account
Updated 3 weeks ago
This guide walks you through creating a Billplz sandbox account for testing. Sandbox accounts let you test payment flows, API integrations, and features using dummy data before going live. The entire process takes about 5 minutes.
Before you begin
- Use dummy information throughout — no real personal or bank details required
- Sandbox accounts are for testing only and cannot process real payments
- You'll need access to an email address for OTP verification
Step 1: Start registration
Go to www.billplz.com and click Sign Up. This redirects you to Billplz SSO for registration.

Step 2: Create your SSO account
Enter any email address (can be a real or test email). Billplz sends a one-time password (OTP) to that email. Enter the OTP and click Continue, then click Create Account.

Step 3: Add a phone number
Enter any dummy phone number and click Send Code. Enter the 6-digit code shown on screen and click Continue.

Step 4: Complete individual information
Enter dummy individual details in the form (name, identity type, ID number). Click Continue.

Step 5: Add organization details
Click Add to begin entering organization information. Fill in dummy organization details including organization name and registration number.

Step 6: Verify organization email
Enter an email address for organization notifications and click Send Code. Check your inbox (or spam folder) for the 6-digit verification code. Enter the code and click Continue.

Step 7: Complete organization registration
Fill in the organization registration form with dummy information:
- organization name (any name)
- Registration number (any number format)
- Bank account details
For Bank verification, select dummy bank verified to skip the 3-day verification process and get instant approval.

Step 8: Access the Billplz dashboard
Your Billplz SSO account is now created. Click Redirect to App to access your dashboard.

Step 9: Authorize access
On the Authorization page, enter billplz in the text field and click Authorize. This grants the Billplz dashboard permission to read your SSO account information.

Step 10: Add customer service details
Enter dummy customer service contact information (phone, email). These appear on your sandbox billing pages and receipts.

What's next?
Your sandbox account is ready. You can now test payment collections, API integrations, and webhooks using sandbox API keys. See Find your API keys to locate your sandbox credentials.
