Public holiday payout schedule
Updated 3 weeks ago
Billplz processes payouts on business days only. When a payout day falls on a public holiday, weekend, or special holiday, the payout moves to the next business day. This article explains how public holidays affect your payout schedule and lists the key federal holidays for reference.
What counts as a business day
A business day is any day when banks in Kuala Lumpur are open for business. Billplz follows national and federal public holidays observed in Kuala Lumpur, as all major acquiring banks operate from headquarters in the Federal Territory. This excludes:
- Saturdays and Sundays
- Federal public holidays
- Special holidays when Billplz declares its office closed
How public holidays affect payouts
If your scheduled payout day falls on a public holiday, the payout automatically moves to the next business day. For example:
- Payout day falls on Thursday (federal holiday) → Payout moves to Friday
- Payout day falls on Monday (federal holiday) → Payout moves to Tuesday
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday collections normally pay out Monday → If Monday is also a holiday, payout moves to Tuesday
The payout processes anytime between 00:00–23:59 on the payout day. Your bank then takes an additional 1–2 business days to credit your account.
