Send a bill

Send a bill to collect payment from a customer via email, SMS, or direct link. You can send a single bill manually or upload multiple bills at once using an Excel template.
Before you begin
- You need at least one Collection created. A Collection is a folder that holds all bills for a specific purpose or payment category (e.g., "Monthly invoices").
Step 1: Create a Collection (skip if you already have one)
Go to Collection and click Create Collection. Enter a subject name for the collection (e.g., "Consultation fees") and click Submit.

Step 2: Open the collection and click Add Bills
From the Collection page, select the Collection you want to bill under. Click Add Bills in the top-right corner.

Step 3: Choose single or multiple bills
You have two options:
Send a single bill
- Click Send a single bill.
- Fill in the customer's details. Mobile number is optional — include it if you want the bill delivered via SMS as well. Use Reference 1 and Reference 2 for your own internal tracking (e.g., invoice number, project code).
- Click Submit.

Send multiple bills
- Click Download Excel template.
- Open the template and fill in each row with a customer's details (name, email, mobile number, amount, references, due date, and description).
- Save the file and return to Billplz.
- Click Choose File, select your completed Excel file, and upload it.


Step 4: Confirm delivery
After submitting, Billplz sends the bill to your customer's email. The email contains a Click to Pay button that directs the customer to a secure payment page.
